KVM IP Power Control™

KVM IP Power Control™ seamlessly integrates Smart 216 IP / 232 IP with any smart PDU (via SNMP). There is no vendor lock-in! Support for any SNMP-based PDU from leading manufacturers such as APC, Eaton, Server Technology, TrippLite, Geist and others.

With KVM IP Power Control™ you can control the power of your servers remotely. A 'Power' icon within a remote KVM over IP session now allows you to turn power on/off or recycle power to the server you're controlling remotely. This facilitates dramatically cutting response time and rebooting servers faster while avoiding the need for juggling between management applications and thus avoiding hazardous mistakes while executing critical power commands during a remote KVM over IP session.

KVM IP Power Control™ also supports mapping a number of different power outlets (on same or different PDU) to one server (which has redundant power supplies).

Absolute Mouse Support

Smart 216 IP'Absolute' mouse support means you no longer need to adjust the mouse settings (such as turning off 'mouse acceleration') on each and every server connected to the KVM switch.

As a result, there is no mouse latency in remote session, for optimal, no compromise, remote user experience.

'Absolute Mouse Support' is now available for target servers running Windows and Linux OS.

Multi-User KVM and Serial Access over IP – Ideal for ROBO Applications

Smart 232 IPWith a built-in web server enabling two (2) remote users seamless access to target servers via a single IP address, all you need is a Jave-enabled remote computer. No license needed and no software installed at remote users' locations.

Smart 216 IP / 232 IP KVM switches enable initial configuration via the On Screen Display (OSD) interface and easy installation configuration via the webpage.

In addition to controlling and accessing up to 32 servers, Smart 216 IP / 232 IP provide access to two (2) serial devices (such as routers, Ethernet switches or PDUs) from anywhere using TCP/IP over LAN, WAN, Internet.

No Browser Dependence, Full-Screen Session and OS-Less Mouse Support

Smart 232 IPIf you choose to run your remote session within a browser – it can now be any browser. But since Smart 216 IP / 232 IP remote KVM over IP session is running on a Java app., no browser is required to run on the remote computer.

The remote Java app. allows you to run a remote KVM over IP session from any Windows and Linux machine, with no limitations on browser brand and no constraints on browser upgrade.

You can also run your remote KVM over IP session in 'Full Screen Mode', since the Java app. (on the remote computer) doesn't require running within a Browser's window.

With Smart 216 IP / 232 IP KVM switches you can have use of a mouse within a remote KVM over IP session even if the host computer is not running an Operating System.

The OS-Less Mouse Support feature allows the use of the mouse with applications (such as Acronis for example) that run 'above' the BIOS but still 'under the OS', such as during OS installations and rebooting.

Industry-Standard Security

The industry's most secure encryption, using 256 AES encryption protocol, guards your corporate data through every kind of remote access, to efficiently prevent hacking and security breaches.

Smart IP support the highest security standards for encryption (256 AES and HTTPS), authenticating remote users and providing advanced On Screen Display (OSD) management interface with multi-layer security for the local user.

Smart IP feature an enhanced security capability based upon a serial connection between its internal IP and analog boards that prevents users from bypassing the IP security definitions.

With such serial connection, the IP card enforces itself onto the target server's OSD interface, enabling administrators to configure the users' access-rights to connected servers.

BIOS-Level, Multi-Platform Access

Smart 216 IP, back viewAs an out-of-band solution, Smart IP let you connect directly to servers at the BIOS-level and give access and control over mixed platforms, including USB, PS/2 and Sun servers.

Smart IP KVM switches are rack mountable, purely hardware-based solutions for KVM access that are operating system independent, allowing access to the servers at the BIOS level.
