With a new, ultra-thin form factor, these high quality KVM cables are used to securely connect PS/2-based servers to a variety of MasterConsole, Dominion KSX, and CompuSwitch models, at varying lengths.
This new ultra-thin tangle-free cable design -- almost as thing as UTP CAT 5 -- virtually cuts the number of cables running from the KVM switch to each server by two-thirds, thus significantly reducing the volume KVM cables occupy, making rack installations cleaner and better organized.
The Computer Interface Cables, MCU-Series single sheath cable offers a single connector with thumb screws (on the switch side of the cable) for a firm and secured connection. On the server end, the single sheath cable splits into 3 connectors that are bundled together, making it easy to identify which connectors belong to which port. The three connectors are color-coded according to the specifications of The PC 2001 System Design Guide: Blue for VGA; Purple for PS/2 keyboard; and Green for PS/2 mouse.
The single-sheath Computer Interface Cables, MCU-Series may be used with MasterConsole II, MasterConsole MXU2, and Dominion KSX.
