Serial Power Distribution Unit (SPDU) integrates power management into data centers

Bay-SPDU (Serial Power Distribution Unit) allows you to leverage your existing infrastructure and to add remote and secure power management to servers and network appliances.

Connect Bay-SPDU to supporting KVM switches or KVM-access-over-IP appliances, or to any existing serial console-port switch, Input Serial Device, terminal server, multi-platform KVM switch, PC, laptop or environmental manager, to access and control each SPDU.

With its RS232 interface, Bay-SPDUs provide the means to remotely reboot locked equipment anywhere in the world in minutes. Bay-SPDU has the ability to reboot receptacles remotely, individually or collectively. Each outlet on the PDU can be turned on or off, controlling the total current drawn from each PDU, and preventing un-authorized power consumers from drawing un-allocated current.
