Bay SPDU
Leverage existing infrastructure to add local or remote power management

Leverage the investment of your existing serial-console-access products and KVM switches by integrating Bay-SPDU for complete power control.

Bay- SPDU integrates with any device with a bi-directional serial port, to allow remote power management features through the serial device.

Use any existing Input Serial Devices or console-port switches (such as SERIMUX), IP-enabled KVM switches (such as Phantom MXIP and Smart CAT5 16-IP) terminal server, multi-platform KVM switch (such as DX, or Phantom Specter), KVM switch with Serial Converter, PC, laptop or environmental manager, to access and control each SPDU.

Programmable outlet names, and retained receptacle status for easy managability

All power outlets are individually addressable, and can be assigned meaningful names for easy access.  Each outlet can be individually managed (power on/off or reboot).

In the event of a power failure to the unit itself, Bay-SPDU retains the most current operational status for each outlet in non-volatile memory. When Bay-SPDU regains power it restores each outlet to those status settings.

The power-up routine to each receptacle is performed sequentially to minimize power surges, preventing an in-rush power overload. When power is suspended and restored to the PDU, the outlets power-up in four-second intervals.  The power-up sequencing feature precludes all outlets from powering-on all attached devices at once, averting a power overload spike and a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker in your data center.

Zero-U or rack-mount to meet space and power requirements
Bay-SPDU feature high density 6 to 20 power outlets per unit, and support up to a 30 Amp current distributed across all outlets.  Bay-SPDU are available in either Zero-U or rack-mount form factor.
