Leak-Detection Cable System for Continuous Wide-Area and Perimeter Water Detection.
Water in your server room is never a good thing. Water lurks in walls, ceilings floors, and air conditioning evaporator trays - it can kill your gear fast.
If any water pipe in your server room should spring a leak... or if your air-conditioning system's condensation pipe should block up, or if one of the basement walls develops a crack that lets water seep in during the next good rainstorm... how would you know, if you weren't there to see it?
More importantly, while single-point water sensors (such as our Clymit Water Sensor) can easily keep watch on a small area near a known potential water source such as a drip pan or a sink, how do you monitor a large area where you can't know in advance where the potential leak sources are?
Clymit WaterSnake detects the presence of water or other conductive liquid over the entire length of its sensing cable.
Typically used to protect computer server rooms from water damage, Clymit WaterSnake attaches to Clymit 300. When water is detected, Clymit 300 sends alerts by e-mail or SNMP trap, or sounds a horn alarm.
Put Clymit WaterSnake around the periphery of your server room or around data cabinets and get early warning of water entry. Get an e-mail or page-alert when water hits.
Clymit WaterSnake comes with a wall mounted control box. Clymit WaterSnake uses two Clymit 300 I/O ports, and it reports when the cable is wet, disconnected or faulty.
Clymit WaterSnake is available in kits supporting 10', 40', 60', 120' and a maximum of 300' of sensing cables. Optional sensing cables and non-sensing cables are available for mixing and matching.
